CONTROL TRAPPED MICROORGANISMS
Spor-Ax is a biocide. It EFFECTIVELY CONTROLS THE GROWTH of mold, mildew, algae and fungi on filters. Fiberbond filters with Spor-Ax do not support the growth of microbes. Spor-Ax does not require the presence of water for activation - it is always active. Spor-Ax is not water-soluble - it cannot leach out. Spor-Ax is the only product of its kind, which is applied during the mending of fibers making it a permanent part of the filter media. It does not off-gas, or leave the filter in any way - it remains active for the life of the filter.

TESTS SHOW CONTROL THROUGHOUT FILTRE LIFE
All Fiberbond filters with Spor-Ax have passed the demanding ASTM D-2020 and ASTM C-665 tests both as new filters before their use and again as dirty filters when they were taken out of service, before their disposal. These are demanding standardized tests using procedures documented to be effective and reproducible by the American Standards of Testing Materials (ASTM).

Spor-Ax is a biocide. It effectively controls the growth of microorganisms on the filter by interrupting the life-sustaining functions within their cells.

Registrations
Spor-Ax is registered by the EPA. The active ingredient in Spor-Ax is registered by Agriculture Canada and has clearance for use in formulations under the regulations of USDA and FDA.
