Purolator Defiant Mark 80-D Pleated Air Filter

The DEFIANT MARK 80-D is a medium efficiency, self-supported, extended surface, pleated air filter. It outperforms similar products in initial efficiency and average efficiency, providing maximum filter service life. The MARK 80-D is effective in standalone applications in place of a disposable, permanent, or media pad-frame filter. When you want cleaner air and a filter with a longer service life, consider the Purolator MARK 80-D pleated filter. The media area and initial air flow resistance have been carefully balanced to withstand flow up to 625 FPM while maximizing dust-holding capacity.

Economical

Medium efficiency filtration drastically reduces your costs by protecting expensive heating and air conditioning equipment from the damaging effects of dirty air.

Efficient

The MARK 80-D is made of continuous, synthetic, and hydrophobic (non-waterabsorbing)fibers featuring maximum dust-retention capabilities. When tested in accordance with ASHRAE testing method 52.1-1992, this fiber blend provides a 30-35% average efficiency and a 90-93% average arrestance. This filter media has maximum dust retention capabilities.

Durable

The MARK 80-D filter elements are enclosed in a two-piece, heavy-duty beverage board with high wet strength. When assembled, the fully bonded double-wall frame combines with the integral corner flaps to form a rugged, durable filter which will not rack, warp, or leak under normal operating conditions.

Dependable

For support, the filter media is continuously bonded to a corrosion-resistant, 28-gauge, expanded metal grid allowing a 95% open face area. This media is formed into aerodynamic wedge-shaped pleats, maximizing the working surface area of the MARK 80-D filter. To eliminate the possibility of dirty air bypass, the media pack is securely bonded to the edge of the enclosure frame.

Based on ASHRAE Test Standard 52.1-1992:
Average efficiency: 30-35%
Average arrestance: 90-93%
Based on ASHRAE Test Standard 52.2
MERV(Mimimum Efficiency Rating Value): 8
